MEMA launches $100,000 “Do Nothing” awareness campaign highlighting the rollout and benefits of

Ultra Low Sulfur Heating Oil.


The campaign consists of Press Releases, 2 TV commercials highlighting the “Do Nothing” campaign theme, buck slips for members, highlights on our 3 websites (MEMA site,, Maine Energy, and a digital campaign driving consumers to the Maine Energy Facts website. We decided to wait until after the Fourth of July week as interest would naturally be low in the summer but that week would be nonexistent.
Your customers should know about the new improved fuel and may ask you. Let your CSRs know so they can speak positively of the change. Materials for members will be forthcoming. The press release will be sent Monday to all press outlets to start the campaign.
