On Friday the 13th of December, the Maine Energy Marketers Association held an open house for all our members as well as the State Legislators. The topic – Workforce Development. We invited all those interested in HVAC to come and tour our school. Our goal was to express the need to fill the trades gap. Look around. HVAC is everywhere and it makes up a good part of functioning society. From refrigeration to keep our food from spoiling, to heat, and AC both residential and commercial, without HVAC, things would certainly fall apart. The recent order in Maine for 100K Heat Pumps is just another example of how important it is that we continue to recruit HVAC technicians.
